| Sleepy Cove Lighthouse Hike |
The sun comes up at 5 am (which we will never see) and sets around 9:20 pm as we pass the summer solstice here in Twillingate Newfoundland Canada, the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere.We have now spent four nights at this beautiful Seaview park. With ocean views, sunshine, and bountiful hiking trails along the ocean, its hard to leave, but not today. We hike to the lighthouse, have ice cream then hike back 2 miles, how good is that? Views, Ocean, Lighthouse, Ice Cream. I also got out the bike and rode into town and scoped out all the local hot spots, coffee shops, and vista points out into the ocean. We spend a lot of time just sitting on our "Back Porch" watching the ocean for signs of whales, but no luck, just beautiful sunsets and long happy hours.
