Saturday, June 8, another travel day. Before we head out, we stopped by the beach for a morning walk and bike ride. The fog came and went that left some great views. The best part was we got in 2.5 miles of beach walk cardio. We left Shallow bay about noon and drove only 32 miles to our next stop in Gros Morne National Park. We will be camping in Berry hill Campground near Rocky Harbor, but in the heart of Gros Morne National Park for 5 nights. This is the top national park in the province, and as we get into the high season, more RV's and campers are on the road. Today, we went into town to visit the visitor center and scope out Rocky Harbor. A quick trip to the lighthouse, was nice, but the fog just did not give way to good views, so we will revisit another day. We finish the day with happy hour by the fire, sunshine, and much warmer weather up the mountain. I rode my bike into town only to be greeted by fog and cooler temps. We picked up some swag (stickers), and then back up the mountain to the campground. Several hikes in the area look very inviting, more to come in the days ahead.
