Day 24: Thrombolites

Today we woke up to more fog, so we packed it in and headed back west to the coast. We stopped by an underground salmon pool and actually spotted three salmon in the river. We drove only 79 miles to get to Flowers Cove where we parked for the night right on the water at a municipal park. The major attraction here was Thrombolites, these are 600 million year old rocks, fossils, or once living rocks. They look like large mushroom rocks. We hiked a couple miles from the park to the Thrombolites to take some pictures and get some needed cardio.
