Today we moved camp into Gros Morne National Park. It was only a 72 mile drive, but we made a nice road side stop at the Arches Provincial park to see the arch rock formations on the beach. Lots of rocks, and the fog was just giving way to sunshine which made for some good photo ops. We moved on to Shallow Bay Campground at Cows head NL for one night. We drove out to the "Cow Head" point and hiked to the lighthouse and back. It was still overcast mostly and some fog, but a great hike. The Gros Morne Theater festival is located in Cows Head, so we picked up tickets for the 8pm show "Neddy Noris Night". The festival runs all summer with 150 shows from music to skits, and pays. Tonight, It was a music and folklore show and it did not disappoint. The music was old school strings, percussion, and accordion. It may have been rooted in Newfoundland history, but it sure had Irish feel with plenty of foot stomping story telling song. It was a hoot and well worth the entry fee.
