Today marks our first full month on the road to Newfoundland Canada. We left home May 11, so tomorrow, June 11, starts month two of our adventure. Not much adventure today, it rained most the night and into the late morning. It was pretty much a down day. It felt like Saturday morning cartoon day as a kid, we vegged and caught up on TV/News (no cartoons). The rain cleared off just afternoon so we headed into town. We visited the local fishery where they were selling some local caught varieties of seafood. We picked up a couple pounds of fresh scallops for dinner and saw our first blue Lobster. The gal at the counter says she has been working there for 25 years and this was her first. A quick google search revealed the odds were 1 in 2 million, not quite as rare as winning the power ball lottery 1 in 292 million. We stopped at the local ice cream shop for some local hand dipped favorites then another stop at the lighthouse on the point. It was open this time, so we took the tour and learned some local history. Its amazing how several generations from the same family would manage and run a lighthouse. Dinner was Pasta, Scallops, and shrimp with Craig and Kim and then off to bed for some shameless Netflix binge via Starlink.
