Our first full day in Twillingate was absolutely wonderful. We hike, we visit the lighthouse, and we explore Newfoundland history at Capt'n Daves museum of treasure troves. We also sample Anne's fish n' chips and smash burger for the best food in Historic Twillingate. Twillingate is one of the few areas in Newfoundland that can trace its history back 3500 years to the inhabitation of Archaic Maritime Indians around 1500 BC. This is a fishing community of historic perspective for sure. We are camped at an old mining operation right on the coast, it is absolutely beautiful, pinch pinch, it is real. We hike the nanny loop trail, visit the lighthouse, tour Capt'n Daves museum of Cod and Whale tales, Lunch at Anne's at the Wharf, and happy hour at sunset. Just absolutely beautiful. A wonderful day in Newfoundland.
