Day 25: Port aux Choix

Today we rolled into Port aux Choix on the west coast of Newfoundland in wonderful sunshine. Shorts and T-shirt were the clothing of choice until the clouds and wind came, and dog gone it, it got cold. Back out came the jackets and hoodies, but for a few hours, it was spectacular. We set up camp at the Lions club RV park right on the water and soaked up the sun as long as we could. We then drove into town to scope out the lighthouse and places to go tomorrow. The lighthouse was awesome, and we scoped out a French Wood Fired Oven Bakery for fresh bread and jam tomorrow plus a local seafood restaurant. We only drove 66 miles today from Flower's cove to Port aux Choix, and got the opportunity to fill up on propane as we have been burning the gas in the furnace due to the cold temps in the 40's. Far cry from home back in Grapevine where I see 100's may be hit this week. Looking forward to warming weather here in Newfoundland in the coming months that we will be here in June and July.
