Our first day in the park we hop the bus to go deeper into the park. Teklanika campground is at mile marker 29 and the 94 mile park road stops at mile marker 43 due to a landslide. East Fork bridge is as far as you can go so we planned to hike the river bed there but due to a bear in the area, were not allowed to enter the river bed. We did spot the bear from the bridge with binoculars. We road the bus back to camp and did see several caribou and a bear.
