Day 18: Triton - Parsons Pond

May 29th, Yolanda's birthday landed on a travel day. After a couple wonderful days in Triton and Brighton on Badger Bay, we had sunshine, Whales, Eagles, Icebergs, Lobster, Crab, and a whole lot of good times with friends and new friends. We went into Brighton to fly the drone and get some arial photos of the iceberg but unfortunately, during the night, the iceberg floated back out to sea. We had a lot of rain and wind, so bye bye iceberg, we will find more. The whale museum was closed for the winter, but Terry that gives the tours was there today getting ready to open for the season. Terry gave us our own private tour and talked all things Whale, Squid, Fish, and history of Triton area. Terry was a great host and we learning about the whales and the local area.
For travel today, we back tracked a bit to Deer Lake and then up the west coast of Newfoundland through Gros Morne National Park and stopped just north at Paron's Pond. the park was awesome, but we will spend more time there on the way back from St. Anthony where we are headed to see more icebergs. Tonights spot was a pull out right on the ocean shoreline. It was a bit cloudy but the view was still beautiful. The temps got as high as 73 on our journey in Deer Lake, but now by the Sea it has cooled down to the mid 50's.
