Grapevine to Cumby.
Today was a hectic day, our original plan was to leave tomorrow on Sunday early, but I thought we might shoot for this afternoon. First off, it was my birthday, and mothers day weekend. So Mom came over and we chatted and visited while I ran errands. Our exit plan this afternoon turned into a 9pm exit in the rain plan. We were pretty much ready to go around 7pm but the bike cover was covering up the jeep tail lights. So we went to Wal-Mart to fuel up and get some magnetic tow tail lights. Wal-mart did not have any, so we headed over to AutoZone, and they just closed at 8pm. We are hungry so Yoli grabs some sandwiches at Arby’s next door. I call O’Reilly’s and they have some a couple miles up the road. We head that way and it starts to rain, we get there and score a set of lights. It takes me about 20 minutes to get them hooked up in the rain, it is now 9pm as we head out of the parking log. We managed to drive up I30 to Cumby Texas to the Hopkins county safety rest stop which was really nice. Rain had stopped, but it was late and a long day. We both did not sleep well as we both are still having some remaining flu issues. Basically a stuffy nose for me. We call it a night for Day 0 of our 120 day summer adventure.
