| Yoli & Cindy say Goodbye |
Another airport day, so we hang at the villa pool with Cindi. She is heading home today and it is sunny and beautiful. We head to the airport at 2pm for a 4pm flight. Her inbound flight from CLT arrives at 3:19 which our friends Craig and Kim are on. So after we dropped Cindi, we went to a restaurant just outside the airport and ordered a shrimp basket and some water. It took so long (Dang Island Time), that right when we got our food, Kim texted that they were at the curb. So I jumped in the car leaving Yoli, picked them up and was back at our table in less than 15 minutes. It is a small airport. We share a beer, buy some Rum next door at the liquor store, then head off to the grocery store to stock up on more provisions for the next 10 days. We exchange some cash at Carib Express as well. I noticed the rate went down from 58.25 to 58.00 pesos per $1 USD. It feels like Friday afternoon traffic but it is only Monday. its this way everyday, No commuter traffic here, just traffic all day. We got back to the villa and chilled by the pool a bit, then off to Ojo's we went at 7pm for dinner. We get burgers and sushi vowing to begin our diet and eat healthier tomorrow. Great evening on the beach, weather was nice, not to humid with a nice gentle breeze off the ocean as we wiggled our toes in the sand as we ate and chatted. We had lots to catch up on. Back to the villa at 9:30pm, a good day in the sun, loving the DR vibe in Cabarete. Good Night ZZZZzzzzz...
