Barrel & Brew |
It didn't really rain today, but was certainly overcast and gloomy. We hung by the pool most the day until we decided to head to the beach. We walked the half mile to the beach and then ate dinner at a local food shack on the beach. We had tacos, Vietnamese pate sandwich, and chicken skewers. Cindi enjoyed a Presidente local grande beer and Yoli and I had bottled water, since they were out of rum. Out of rum? he said he was waiting for a delivery, oh well, agua it is. The food was good, the music was island vibe, and it was a Friday evening, so the locals were coming out to the three palapa (palm hut) bar/restaurants here at Beach Point at the west end of kite beach. Still no wind today and for this week it looks like, Boooo. I took for granted our first week that was great everyday for kite boarding, thinking everyday is great, wrong. All week it is forecasted for light winds. Good thing we are here for two more weeks. I only have been on the water for 3 days out of the 19 we have been here. We will see if the forecast changes. Tomorrow looks like a sun day, so the plan is to head to Ojo's Beach club and snag some loungers with ocean side bar/food service.
