Day 6: Tensas River

Today we travel from Bobby's fishcamp to the Tensas river to anchor out. We originally planed a three day trip to Mobile bay but changed to a two day run since a cold front and high winds were forecast for Mobile Bay 3 days out. We went longer and faster these two days to make it to Fairhope in hopes to out run the storm. This anchorage was quiet and peaceful and we shared it with two other boats, Oma, a 1988 Krogen Manatee, and a Meridian 459. The day was long at 71.5 miles averaging 7.6kts/hr a bit slower than yesterday's 9.0kts/hr. We made good time running sunrise to sunset basically to make up for the loss of one day on the river. Tomorrow we pull anchor and head to Fairhope for one night.
