Day 5: Bobby's Fish Camp

We did not go slow today. We actually went on plane a bit at 17-19kts to make better time. We have some weather coming in Sunday night in Mobile Bay so we are going to squeeze 3 days of travel into 2 so we can cross Mobile Bay Sunday morning before the Winds pickup and start gusting to 25 late afternoon. So... off we go, burning some extra fuel to make faster time. We covered 83.4 miles today at an 9mph average but hitting top speed around 22mph. We started in Demopolis, AL and ended just outside of Coffeeville, AL. We have our last lock to pass tomorrow first thing 2 miles down river, then we are lock free and hit salt water Saturday Morning in Mobile Bay. We will anchor one more night out before arriving in Fairhope on Saturday afternoon when we will change crew. Will Perkins will be going home and Phil and Yolanda his wife will be joining me on the last leg to Orange Beach where hopefully my Yolanda will join us. Fingers cross that here foot heals and is ship ready... :)
