Day 109-110: Henry Harbor Marina

Henry Bridge Boondock spot

We drove 365 miles to Henry Illinois and spent the last couple days here looking at loop boats come down the river. We looked at one Meridian 368 as a possible loop boat. We had 7 looper boats come into the Harbor yesterday and one, a 30' custom made boat witha 50hp outboard, just completed the loop after it started 2 years ago. "Pokey" was the boats name and all the loopers gathered for the celebration. Tomorrow, we start heading south again back home after this little detour a bit back north to see the loopers. We did have an awesome boondock spot right on the river next to the harbor in a municipal park.

Day 105-108: Dayton Ohio

Another travel day of 221 miles to Oakwood Ohio a suburb. of Dayton to visit with another old friend Mitch Detrick ex-American Airlines work buddy of Yoli's . Beautiful drive across New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio today in the sunshine as we crosss the 8,000 mile mark on this summer journey. Glad to see gas prices are much better then Canada for sure. $3.05-3.50 compared to 4-5.00 in Canada. We will be here for a few nights moochdocking in the driveway of Mitch's beautiful historic 1947 renovated home before moving on. He has done such a great job on the home and landscaping, Beautiful. We ended up staying 4 nights and we are starting to feel the heat. Summer is not over yet.

Day 103: Niagara Falls

We had such a blast today celebrating our 55th monthaversary since we first met walking both sides of the Falls. We started off on the U.S. side and walked across the Rainbow Bridge to Canada. We had dinner atop the Skylon Revolving tower and it was spectacular view on a beautiful sunny day. We got in 7 miles of walking both sides of the river to view the falls. We skipped the boat tour, and were happy with the choice of dinner at the tower. We even sprung for the Tourist photo package.
