Day 46-50: The long trip home

After leaving Sonoita, we headed for our last tourist adventure by driving a whopping 30 miles to Kartchner Caverns State Park for a couple nights. We toured the caverns, walked the park, and did a nice 5 mile hike to some old ruins. We then packed it in for the long road home from Arizona to Grapevine. It was a 900 mile trek with a stop in Las Cruces and Big Springs, then home in just two days. Another wonderful winter in AZ in the books. Until our next adventure, so long, and happy trails.

Day 40-45: More Sonoita

Tucson KOA

We spent the last week just enjoying the Arizona Sunshine and great weather. We go for walks, wine tastings, pot lucks, and occasional dinner out. We also did a road trip to Patagonia and Tubac AZ for some power shopping at the local shops. I scored some stickers and yolanda and RJ find some deals on jewelry. George and Peg came to visit one day, and we returned the favor and drove to Tucson to visit them. We also took advantage of the KOA laundromat for badly needed laundry day. We had lunch by the pool then headed back to Sonoita. Today, Thursday Feb. 27 we packed up and drove a whopping 36 miles to Kartchner Caverns State Park where we will be for a couple nights before heading home.

Day 36-39: Projects and Wine Time

Sonoita Arizona: This week is project week mixed with some wine time. The steps on the RV have not been working so I ordered a new controller that came in today, but no luck. Now I have a new motor on order and we will see if that fixes the problem. We also enlisted Rebecca Jane to paint our RV living room slide and bathroom wall. It turned out beautiful. We also did some more wine tasting at Autumn Sage, Rune, and Dos Cabezas. Walks and sunsets continue to be the highlight of the day.
